In order to be eligible for any of the services listed below, you or your child must be in treatment at Ulster Mental Health Department.
Discovering Together Parent Group
A parenting support group that occurs at the same time as the children’s group. It is for caregivers to help their children make better choices for themselves. Help them obtain a greater understanding of their children.
Open to parents who currently have children in the Kids Together III program.
Tuesdays every week for 12 weeks fall and spring sessions. 6:30 PM – 8:30 AM

Parent group free, childcare free
STRIDES Parent Group
Parent therapy group – working toward building better parent/child relationships. Empowering parents to take charge in a healthy way. Reduce parent “reactivity” level to parenting challenges. Foster empathy and attunement in parents toward children.
Must be a client of UCMHD or have a child who is a UCMHD client. Parenting challenges, a willingness to be honest and make changes.
Thursdays 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM.

Ulster County Mental Health Department - 239 Golden Hill Lane, Kingston
Contact: Therapist completes referral form, forwards to Tamara Telberg 340-4000. Group leader schedule a 1/2 hr screening with client. Decision made.
Prior authorization required. Regular billing, private insurance.
Kidology Together: Parent Group for Kids Together I and II
Parenting support group that occurs at the same time as the kids groups. For caregivers to help their kids make better choices for themselves, have a greater understanding of their kids.
Parents, grandparents, caregivers, foster & respite parents. Parents must have custody of child and if community person (someone who does not have a child in the program) potential waitlist. Up to 80 participants.
Thursdays – 6:30 AM – 8:30 . Held same nights as Kids Together I, II & III.
