Wide range of services for individuals with developmental disabilities; also linkage to many other programs for at-home services, day habilitation, service coordination, residential, and vocational programs.

Agency: NYS Office of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities

Must meet OMR/DD criteria, which includes: diagnosis of Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Seizure Disorder, or neurological impairment; Developmental disability must be present prior to age 22; Disability must be considered lifelong and
must present a substantial impairment to life skills.

Medicaid Service Coordination and Special Education Advocacy

The process of providing connections, interests, accessing services in the community for a person with a developmental disability driven by the person.  Special Education Advocacy  --  assists parents/professionals advocate for appropriate services for a student with a disability.

Agency: Resource Center for Accessible Living, Inc.

MSC serves persons with developmental disability. Special Education Advocacy serves children (birth - 21 years old) with any type of disability.

Fee: None for MSC. $25 for Special Education Advocacy. Can be reduced or waived depending upon circumstances.
