Exhibit "Mom and Pop Stores: Kingston, NY"

Saturday & Sunday thru October 28th 1-4pm - “Mom and Pop Stores: Kingston, New York” – New exhibit featuring photos of “Mom and Pop” stores in Kingston in early 1980’s by Santino Rovereto, plus other memorabilia and database. SPECIAL EVENT- Double Trouble in Recovery Presentation

Thursday September 20, 2007

  • Understand the concepts of a 12-step recovery program for people who are addicted to substances as well as having a mental health diagnosis
  • Receive information about beginning this recovery model in the Ulster County area
  • Network with others who struggle with these issues and receive peer support
  • Experience the "Thurday Nights Out" program and all that this has to offer the community on an ongoing basis

Location: St. Johns Episcopal Church, 207 Albany Ave. Kingston
Starting August 24th, every Thursday 6-8 pm
Activies are free and include book group, games, discussion groups and other to be decided by participants.

The Wellness and Recovery Committee presents

Thursday Nights Out, a weekly social gathering that takes place from 6:00 - 8:00pm at St. John's Episcopal Church located at 207 Albany Avenue in Kingston.

*If you may be interested in leading an activity or group at Thurday Nights Out, a stipend may be available, please call to find out more.

 

Activities include arts and crafts, games, and healthy living and current events discussion group.

The Wellness and Recovery Resources website is a compilation of services, resources and activities including support groups provided by various agencies throughout Ulster County. The website is sponsored and maintained by the Wellness and Recovery Steering Committee. This committee consists of representatives from the following Ulster County agencies: Ulster County Mental Health Department, Mental Health Association in Ulster County, PEOPLe Inc., Gateway Industries, and the Resource Center for Accessible Living, Inc.
