Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Spouses Group

A support group for partners and/or of individuals with ASD, including Asperger's Syndrome. Sponsored by RCAL, the Resource Center for Accessible Living, Inc., 727 Ulster Avenue, Kingston.

Therapy group for high-functioning young adults with HFA/Aspergers Disorder/PDD-NOS ages 18-22.

LOCATED IN LONG ISLAND

Sponsored by the Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders, group sessions will focus on developing strategies for:

- anxiety and stress
- self-esteem and self-concept
- depression
- social skills and interpersonal relationships
- education and job choices
- developing independence

Family Matters- Family Support

A confidential support group that provides emotional support and skill development for families of individuals with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), advocacy and advocacy services. 6 week group.

Strategies:

- learn to manage stress
- learn mindfulness techniques
- learn about local, regional and state systems

- Share your experiences and solutions with other families in similar situations

Family support group if you have a child, sibling, or other realtive with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Light refreshments will be served. 8 week group.

GRANT OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE IN THE SPECTRUM!!

Parents of Autistic Children-Hudson Valley, a non-profit group, has grant money available for persons with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, which can be used for social or recreational programs. Grants can be made of up to $200.00. Applicants must live in the Hudson Valley, be between 3 and 21 years of age, have a diagnosis of ASD or be a caregiver of someone with ASD.
