OneStop Job Center Homepage

The Ulster County OneStop Job Center offers a wide range of valuable services to workers, including individuals with disabilities.  The DPN initiatives have proved to be an efficient and effective way of fostering successful engagement between OneStop Job Centers and individuals with disabilities, providing them the services needed to help overcome their barriers to employment.  The Disability Program Navigator helps individuals with disabilities access the services and supports they need to reach their employment goals within the OneStop system.

The DPN serves as disability resource specialist to help individuals with disabilities “navigate” through available programs and services in the local OneStop system.  Our navigator cultivates relationships with key disability partners, while promoting the services and resources of the OneStop.  In an effort to increase employment opportunities and the self-sufficiency of persons with disabilities, the DPN links individuals to employers to achieve successful entry or re-entry into the workforce.
Our Navigator, Maddy Miller works fulltime at the OneStop Job Center, so she is available to answer questions as they arise.  With all segments of the workforce, employment, and disability systems experiencing demands for more services with fewer resources, the Navigator initiative provides an exciting opportunity to improve coordination and help individuals achieve better employment outcomes.  It is a valuable position in our OneStop Job Center.
